CVSS v3.1 |
| LiveBOS, an object-oriented business architecture middleware suite developed by Apex Software Co., Ltd., contains an arbitrary file upload vulnerability in its UploadFile.do;.js.jsp endpoint. This flaw affects the LiveBOS Server component and allows unauthenticated remote attackers to upload crafted files outside the intended directory structure via path traversal in the filename parameter. Successful exploitation may lead to remote code execution on the server, enabling full system compromise. The vulnerability is presumed to affect builds released prior to August 2024 and is said to be remediated in newer versions of the product, though the exact affected range remains undefined. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2024-08-23 UTC. |
| The WordPress plugin Asset-Manager version 2.0 and below contains an unauthenticated arbitrary file upload vulnerability in upload.php. The endpoint fails to properly validate and restrict uploaded file types, allowing remote attackers to upload malicious PHP scripts to a predictable temporary directory. Once uploaded, the attacker can execute the file via a direct HTTP GET request, resulting in remote code execution under the web server’s context. |
| The WP Cost Estimation plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads and deletion due to missing file type validation in the lfb_upload_form and lfb_removeFile AJAX actions in versions up to, and including, 9.642. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected sites server which may make remote code execution possible. Additionally, the attacker can also delete files on the server such as database configuration files, subsequently uploading their own database files. |
| WP-Property plugin for WordPress through version 1.35.0 contains an unauthenticated file upload vulnerability in the third-party `uploadify.php` script. A remote attacker can upload arbitrary PHP files to a temporary directory without authentication, leading to remote code execution. |
| The <redacted>.exe or <redacted>.exe CGI binary can be used to upload arbitrary files to /tmp/upload/ or /tmp/ respectively as any user, although the user interface for uploading files is only shown to the iocadmin user.
This issue affects Iocharger firmware for AC models before version 24120701.
Likelihood: Moderate – An attacker will need to have knowledge of this CGI binary, e.g. by finding it in firmware. Furthermore, the attacker will need a (low privilege) account to gain access to the <redacted>.exe or <redacted>.exe CGI binary and upload the file, or convince a user with such access to upload it.
Impact: Low – The attacker can upload arbitrary files to /tmp/upload/ or /tmp/. However, the attacker is unable to access or use these files without other vulnerabilities.
CVSS clarification. The attack can be executed over any network connection the station is listening to and serves the web interface (AV:N), and there are no additional security measure sin place that need to be circumvented (AC:L), the attack does not rely on preconditions (AT:N). The attack does require authentication, but the level of authentication is irrelevant (PR:L), it does not require user interaction (UI:N). Artitrary files can be uploaded, be these files will not be in a location where they can influence confidentiality or availability and have a minimal impact on device integrity (VC:N/VI:L/VA:N). There is no impact on subsequent systems. (SC:N/SI:N/SA:N). While this device is an EV charger handing significant amounts of power, we do not expect this vulnerability to have a safety impact. The attack can be automated (AU:Y). |
| Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in Arttia Creative Datasets Manager by Arttia Creative datasets-manager-by-arttia-creative.This issue affects Datasets Manager by Arttia Creative: from n/a through <= 1.5. |
| Sflog! CMS 1.0 contains an authenticated arbitrary file upload vulnerability in the blog management interface. The application ships with default credentials (admin:secret) and allows authenticated users to upload files via manage.php. The upload mechanism fails to validate file types, enabling attackers to upload a PHP backdoor into a web-accessible directory (blogs/download/uploads/). Once uploaded, the file can be executed remotely, resulting in full remote code execution. |
| An unrestricted file upload vulnerability exists in Kaseya KServer versions prior to 6.3.0.2. The uploadImage.asp endpoint allows unauthenticated users to upload files to arbitrary paths via a crafted filename parameter in a multipart/form-data POST request. Due to the lack of authentication and input sanitation, an attacker can upload a file with an .asp extension to a web-accessible directory, which can then be invoked to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the IUSR account. The vulnerability enables remote code execution without prior authentication and was resolved in version 6.3.0.2 by removing the vulnerable uploadImage.asp endpoint. |
| The Multi Step Form plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation via the import functionality in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.25. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible. |
| Insufficient verification vulnerability exists in Broadcast Mail CGI (pmc.exe) included in A.K.I Software's PMailServer/PMailServer2 products. If this vulnerability is exploited, a user who can upload files through the product may execute an arbitrary executable file with the web server's execution privilege. |
| Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in WebTechGlobal Easy CSV Importer BETA easy-csv-importer allows Upload a Web Shell to a Web Server. This issue affects Easy CSV Importer BETA: from n/a through <= 7.0.0. |
| A remote code execution vulnerability exists in HybridAuth versions 2.0.9 through 2.2.2 due to insecure use of the install.php installation script. The script remains accessible after deployment and fails to sanitize input before writing to the application’s config.php file. An unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary PHP code into config.php, which is later executed when the file is loaded. This allows attackers to achieve remote code execution on the server. Exploitation of this issue will overwrite the existing configuration, rendering the application non-functional. |
| Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in BerqWP allows Code Injection. This issue affects BerqWP: from n/a through 1.7.6. |
| An unauthenticated remote attacker can upload a .aspx file instead of a PV system picture through the demo account. The code can only be executed in the security context of the user. |
| Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in cmsMinds Boat Rental Plugin for WordPress boat-rental-system allows Upload a Web Shell to a Web Server. This issue affects Boat Rental Plugin for WordPress: from n/a through <= 1.0.1. |
| An unrestricted file upload vulnerability exists in Dell (acquired by Quest) KACE K1000 System Management Appliance version 5.0 - 5.3, 5.4 prior to 5.4.76849, and 5.5 prior to 5.5.90547 in the download_agent.php endpoint. An attacker can upload arbitrary PHP files to a temporary web-accessible directory, which are later executed through inclusion in backend code that loads files under attacker-controlled paths. |
| A filename spoofing vulnerability exists in WinRAR when opening specially crafted ZIP archives. The issue arises due to inconsistencies between the Central Directory and Local File Header entries in ZIP files. When viewed in WinRAR, the file name from the Central Directory is displayed to the user, while the file from the Local File Header is extracted and executed. An attacker can leverage this flaw to spoof filenames and trick users into executing malicious payloads under the guise of harmless files, potentially leading to remote code execution. |
| Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type vulnerability in MainWP MainWP File Uploader Extension. This issue affects MainWP File Uploader Extension: from n/a through 4.1.
|
| An unrestricted file upload vulnerability exists in MiniWeb HTTP Server <= Build 300 that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to upload arbitrary files to the server’s filesystem. By abusing the upload handler and crafting a traversal path, an attacker can place a malicious .exe in system32, followed by a .mof file in the WMI directory. This triggers execution of the payload with SYSTEM privileges via the Windows Management Instrumentation service. The exploit is only viable on Windows versions prior to Vista. |
| Some versions of Hikvision's iSecure Center Product have an improper file upload control vulnerability. Due to the improper verification of file to be uploaded, attackers may upload malicious files to the server. iSecure Center is software released for China's domestic market only, with no overseas release. |
