CVSS v3.1 |
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3.3 is affected. macOS before 10.12.6 is affected. tvOS before 10.2.2 is affected. The issue involves the "CoreAudio" component. It allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted movie file.
An issue was discovered in CHICKEN Scheme through 4.12.0. When using a nonstandard CHICKEN-specific extension to allocate an SRFI-4 vector in unmanaged memory, the vector size would be used in unsanitised form as an argument to malloc(). With an unexpected size, the impact may have been a segfault or buffer overflow.
Two errors in the "asn1_find_node()" function (lib/parser_aux.c) within GnuTLS libtasn1 version 4.10 can be exploited to cause a stacked-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into processing a specially crafted assignments file via the e.g. asn1Coding utility.
Wi-Fi in Apple iOS before 10.3.1 does not prevent CVE-2017-6956 stack buffer overflow exploitation via a crafted access point. NOTE: because an operating system could potentially isolate itself from CVE-2017-6956 exploitation without patching Broadcom firmware functions, there is a separate CVE ID for the operating-system behavior.
An error within the "parse_tiff_ifd()" function (internal/dcraw_common.cpp) in LibRaw versions before 0.18.2 can be exploited to corrupt memory.
Insufficient clickjacking protection in the Web User Interface of Intel AMT firmware versions before 9.1.40.1000, 9.5.60.1952, 10.0.50.1004, 11.0.0.1205, and 11.6.25.1129 potentially allowing a remote attacker to hijack users web clicks via attacker's crafted web page.
Artifex MuPDF 1.11 allows attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted .xps file, related to "Data from Faulting Address controls Branch Selection starting at mupdf+0x000000000016cb4f" on Windows. This occurs because of mishandling of XML tag name comparisons.
In ncurses 6.0, there is a format string vulnerability in the fmt_entry function. A crafted input will lead to a remote arbitrary code execution attack.
The ColorChanger::GetColorFromStack function in colorchanger.cpp in PoDoFo 0.9.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid read) via a crafted file.
Integer overflow in sfcommands/sfconvert.c in Audio File Library (aka audiofile) 0.3.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted file.
Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 11.0.19 and earlier, 15.006.30280 and earlier, 15.023.20070 and earlier have a memory address leak vulnerability when handling JPEG 2000 code-stream tile data.
Heap-based buffer overflow in the Expand3To4Module::run function in libaudiofile/modules/SimpleModule.h in Audio File Library (aka audiofile) 0.3.6, 0.3.5, 0.3.4, 0.3.3, 0.3.2, 0.3.1, 0.3.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted file.
Heap-based buffer overflow in the ulaw2linear_buf function in G711.cpp in Audio File Library (aka audiofile) 0.3.6, 0.3.5, 0.3.4, 0.3.3, 0.3.2, 0.3.1, 0.3.0, 0.2.7 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted file.
Stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Netop Remote Control versions 11.53, 12.21 and prior. The affected module in the Guest client is the "Import to Phonebook" option. When a specially designed malicious file containing special characters is loaded, the overflow occurs. 12.51 is the fixed version. The Support case ref is 00109744.
Insufficient validation of untrusted input in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 60.0.3112.78 for Linux allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page.
A numeric overflow in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 58.0.3029.81 for Linux, Windows, and Mac, and 58.0.3029.83 for Android, allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page.
Google Chrome prior to 56.0.2924.76 for Linux, Windows and Mac, failed to prevent alerts from being displayed by swapped out frames, which allowed a remote attacker to show alerts on a page they don't control via a crafted HTML page.
A vulnerability in the Data-in-Motion (DMo) process installed with the Cisco IOx application environment could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a stack overflow that could allow remote code execution with root privileges in the virtual instance running on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient bounds checking in the DMo process. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted packets that are forwarded to the DMo process for evaluation. The impacts of a successful exploit are limited to the scope of the virtual instance and do not impact the router that is hosting Cisco IOx. This vulnerability affects the following Cisco 800 Series Industrial Integrated Services Routers: Cisco IR809 and Cisco IR829. Cisco IOx Releases 1.0.0.0 and 1.1.0.0 are vulnerable. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCuy52330.
Microsoft browsers in Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and R2, Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2012 and R2, Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, and 1703, and Windows Server 2016 allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user when the JavaScript engines fail to render when handling objects in memory in Microsoft browsers, aka "Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-8598, CVE-2017-8596, CVE-2017-8618, CVE-2017-8619, CVE-2017-8610, CVE-2017-8601, CVE-2017-8603, CVE-2017-8604, CVE-2017-8605, CVE-2017-8595, CVE-2017-8606, CVE-2017-8608, and CVE-2017-8609
Buffer overflow in the do_type function in cplus-dem.c in libiberty allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault and crash) via a crafted binary.
