CVSS v3.1 |
Microsoft Edge allows a remote code execution vulnerability due to the way it accesses objects in memory, aka "Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability".
FontForge 20161012 does not ensure a positive size in a weight vector memcpy call in readcfftopdict (parsettf.c) resulting in DoS via a crafted otf file.
A buffer overflow in Smart Card authentication code in gpkcsp.dll in Microsoft Windows XP through SP3 and Server 2003 through SP2 allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target computer, provided that the computer is joined in a Windows domain and has Remote Desktop Protocol connectivity (or Terminal Services) enabled.
Ruby through 2.2.7, 2.3.x through 2.3.4, and 2.4.x through 2.4.1 can expose arbitrary memory during a JSON.generate call. The issues lies in using strdup in ext/json/ext/generator/generator.c, which will stop after encountering a '\0' byte, returning a pointer to a string of length zero, which is not the length stored in space_len.
In SWFTools 0.9.2, an out-of-bounds read of heap data can occur in the function png_load() in lib/png.c:724. This issue can be triggered by a malformed PNG file that is mishandled by png2swf. Attackers could exploit this issue for DoS.
Foxit Reader before 8.3.1 and PhantomPDF before 8.3.1 have an Arbitrary Write vulnerability, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted document.
XnView Classic for Windows Version 2.40 allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute code via a crafted .mkv file that is mishandled during the opening of a directory in "Browser" mode, because of a "User Mode Write AV near NULL" in XnView.exe.
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way Microsoft Office software parses specially crafted email messages, aka "Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability".
XnView Classic for Windows Version 2.43 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service via a crafted .dwg file, related to a "Data Execution Prevention Violation starting at xnview+0x0000000000580063."
A buffer overflow vulnerability in NetTransport.exe in NetTransport Download Manager 2.96L and earlier could allow remote HTTP servers to execute arbitrary code on NAS devices via a long HTTP response.
Microsoft Edge in Microsoft Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, and Windows Server 2016 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user, due to the way that the Microsoft Edge scripting engine handles objects in memory, aka "Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-8649, CVE-2017-8660, CVE-2017-8729, CVE-2017-8740, CVE-2017-8741, CVE-2017-8748, CVE-2017-8752, CVE-2017-8753, CVE-2017-8755, CVE-2017-8756, and CVE-2017-11764.
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 11 is affected. Safari before 11 is affected. iCloud before 7.0 on Windows is affected. iTunes before 12.7 on Windows is affected. tvOS before 11 is affected. The issue involves the "WebKit" component. It allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted web site.
ImageMagick 7.0.6-2 has a memory leak vulnerability in WriteMSLImage in coders/msl.c.
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3 is affected. Safari before 10.1 is affected. tvOS before 10.2 is affected. The issue involves the "WebKit" component. It allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted web site.
Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 1607 and Windows Server 2016 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user when Microsoft Edge improperly accesses objects in memory, aka "Microsoft Edge Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-8496.
STDU Viewer 1.6.375 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service via a crafted .jb2 file, related to a "User Mode Write AV starting at STDUJBIG2File!DllUnregisterServer+0x00000000000076d8."
Remote code execution occurs in Apache Solr before 7.1 with Apache Lucene before 7.1 by exploiting XXE in conjunction with use of a Config API add-listener command to reach the RunExecutableListener class. Elasticsearch, although it uses Lucene, is NOT vulnerable to this. Note that the XML external entity expansion vulnerability occurs in the XML Query Parser which is available, by default, for any query request with parameters deftype=xmlparser and can be exploited to upload malicious data to the /upload request handler or as Blind XXE using ftp wrapper in order to read arbitrary local files from the Solr server. Note also that the second vulnerability relates to remote code execution using the RunExecutableListener available on all affected versions of Solr.
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 and RT 8.1, Windows Server 2012 and R2, Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, 1703, and Windows Server 2016 allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user, due to how Microsoft Windows Text Services Framework handles objects in memory, aka "Windows Shell Memory Corruption Vulnerability".
The intr function in sound/oss/msnd_pinnacle.c in the Linux kernel through 4.11.7 allows local users to cause a denial of service (over-boundary access) or possibly have unspecified other impact by changing the value of a message queue head pointer between two kernel reads of that value, aka a "double fetch" vulnerability.
