CVSS v3.1 |
| SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. Prior to 3.6, the MobiDoc::ParseHeader function in src/MobiDoc.cpp validates a record using kMobiHeaderMinLen but DecodeMobiDocHeader constructs a decoder sized for kMobiHeaderLen without receiving the actual remaining buffer length. A malformed MOBI file can use an attacker-controlled header length to bypass optional-field early returns and cause the decoder to read beyond a short heap buffer. Opening the crafted document can crash SumatraPDF. This issue is fixed in version 3.6. |
| A weakness has been identified in Netcore NR289-GE 1.4.5102. The affected element is the function password-check of the file /bin/boa of the component Authentication. Executing a manipulation of the argument Username can lead to stack-based buffer overflow. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Contrast through 1.20.0 contains a panic vulnerability in the transit-engine endpoint's ciphertextContainer.UnmarshalJSON function that fails to validate decoded ciphertext length before slicing. An authenticated workload with a valid mesh certificate can trigger a runtime panic by submitting a short base64-encoded ciphertext, causing log spam and request failures without crashing the process. |
| A vulnerability has been found in Edimax BR-6428nC 1.16. The impacted element is an unknown function of the file /goform/formWizSurvey of the component Wireless Wizard Handler. The manipulation of the argument interface1/interface2 leads to stack-based buffer overflow. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. |
| Expat before 2.8.5 fails to validate that a high surrogate in UTF-16 input is followed by a low surrogate, allowing malformed UTF-16 sequences to be accepted. Attackers can supply UTF-16 encoded XML containing lone high surrogates that consume the following code unit, causing Expat to pass unpaired surrogates to applications built with XML_UNICODE and to silently replace input characters in other builds. |
| There
is stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability recently discovered in MCC Universal Library for Linux (uldaq). This may result in information disclosure or arbitrary code
execution. This vulnerability affects MCC Universal Library for Linux (uldaq) v1.2.1
and prior versions. |
| GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 19.2 before 19.2.7, 19.3 before 19.3.3, and 19.4 before 19.4.1 that under certain conditions could have allowed an authenticated user to execute arbitrary code on the GitLab server due to an integer overflow issue when compiling a specially crafted regular expression in a CI/CD configuration. |
| A vulnerability in the bootloader of Cisco IOS XE Software for Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches, Cisco Catalyst ESS9300 Embedded Series Switches, Cisco Catalyst IE9310 and IE9320 Rugged Series Switches, and Cisco IE3500 and IE3505 Rugged Series Switches could allow an authenticated, local attacker with level-15 privileges or an unauthenticated attacker with physical access to an affected device to execute arbitrary code at boot time and break the chain of trust.
This vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of software at boot time. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the loaded binaries on an affected device to bypass some of the integrity checks that are performed during the boot process. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute code that bypasses the requirement to run Cisco-signed images.
Cisco has assigned this security advisory a Security Impact Rating (SIR) of High rather than Medium as the score indicates because this vulnerability allows an attacker to bypass a major security feature of a device. |
| Habitica is a habit tracker application that treats goals like a role-playing game. From 4.172.1 until 5.48.2, a query parameter on Habitica's /api/v3/groups/:groupId/members route is not sanitized before being interpreted as a regular expression. An authenticated caller can supply a computationally expensive regular expression that degrades application performance or halts Node.js processes. This issue is fixed in version 5.48.2. |
| A vulnerability was detected in D-Link DIR-895L A1_102b07. Impacted is the function tunnel_set_params of the file tunnel.c of the component L2TP Control Channel Parser. Performing a manipulation results in out-of-bounds write. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. |
| nodemailer before 10.0.6 contains a denial of service vulnerability in the addressparser free-text fallback regex pattern that exhibits quadratic backtracking behavior. Attackers can supply crafted email header values with long whitespace-free runs to block the Node.js event loop for tens of seconds, causing service unavailability. |
| A denial of service via unsigned underflow in libXpm's write path in libXpm before 3.5.19 could be used by local attackers to cause unbounded CPU usage and memory exhaustion. |
| The convert.base64-encode, convert.quoted-printable-encode and convert.quoted-printable-decode stream filters accept a line-break-chars option whose length is tracked separately from the string itself. The filter constructors duplicate the value with pestrdup(), which stops at the first NUL byte, while keeping the original length. When the filter later emits a line break it copies the recorded length out of the truncated allocation, reading past its end and placing adjacent heap bytes into the filter output. |
| The IPv6 branch of the FastCGI client access check compares only the first 12 bytes of a 16-byte IPv6 address, so listen.allowed_clients matches on a /96 prefix instead of the exact address. An attacker who can source an address sharing the first 96 bits with an allowed one passes the check and reaches the FastCGI endpoint. |
| php_openssl_matches_wildcard_name() in ext/openssl/xp_ssl.c underflows the length argument passed to memchr() when a TLS server certificate presents a wildcard name whose literal characters are together longer than the hostname being verified. A malicious server presenting such a certificate makes the PHP client read up to SIZE_MAX bytes past the end of a heap allocation. The path is reachable from any default client stream, because verify_peer_name is enabled by default. |
| mH-DEVELOPER smart home module ships with an end-of-life, unsupported Debian 8 and Node.js runtime v17.0.1 in its production firmware. This exposes the device to publicly known vulnerabilities that will not receive security patches. An attacker could exploit these known flaws to execute arbitrary code, access sensitive data, or cause a denial of service on the device.
Vulnerable components were updated or hardened, if update was not possible in version 3.0.30 |
| Nezha before 2.3.8 fails to validate alert rule type and duration bounds, allowing authenticated non-administrator users to create malformed rules that trigger unrecovered panics in the alert evaluator goroutine. Attackers can submit a crafted alert rule via the POST /api/v1/alert-rule endpoint to crash the dashboard process, which persists the rule and causes repeated crashes on restart, disabling all monitoring and control plane functionality. |
| A vulnerability was detected in Trusted Domain Project OpenDKIM up to 2.11.0. Affected is the function dkim_qp_decode of the file util.c of the component Decoder. The manipulation results in off-by-one. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit is now public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Contrast (Edgeless Systems) through 1.20.0 performs unanchored suffix matching when selecting per-registry configuration in the imagepuller. Config.registryFor strips a single trailing dot and then uses strings.HasSuffix(hostname, fqdn) without requiring a DNS label boundary, so a registry entry such as [registries."ghcr.io."] is also applied to any host whose name merely ends in that byte sequence, including attacker-registered domains such as evilghcr.io. When an image or layer is pulled from such a sibling domain, the imagepuller sends the configured Authorization header (basic auth, registry token, or identity token), trusts the configured custom CA bundle, follows the configured mirror, and honours insecure-skip-verify (disabling TLS verification) for that host. Image integrity is not affected, as image bytes remain pinned by digest in the policy and are validated after the pull. Configurations that use a leading dot (e.g., [registries.".example.registry"]) are unaffected. |
| The mysqlnd wire protocol parser reads fields out of server packets before checking that the packet still holds enough bytes for them. A malicious or compromised MySQL server can send a truncated packet and make the client read past the end of the packet buffer, which is undefined behaviour and can crash the process. |
