CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommu/dma: Do not try to iommu_map a 0 length region in swiotlb
iommu_dma_iova_link_swiotlb() processes a mapping that is unaligned in three
parts, the head, middle and trailer. If the middle is empty because there
are no aligned pages it will call down to iommu_map() with a 0 size
which the iommupt implementation will fail as illegal.
It then tries to do an error unwind and starts from the wrong spot
corrupting the mapping so the eventual destruction triggers a WARN_ON.
Check for 0 length and avoid mapping and use offset not 0 as the starting
point to unlink.
This is frequently triggered by using some kinds of thunderbolt NVMe
drives that trigger forced SWIOTLB for unaligned memory. NVMe seems to
pass in oddly aligned buffers for the passthrough commands from smartctl
that hit this condition. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rseq: Fix using an uninitialized stack variable in rseq_exit_user_update()
There is an bug in which an uninitialized stack variable is used in
rseq_exit_user_update() as reported by syzbot:
BUG: KMSAN: kernel-infoleak in rseq_set_ids_get_csaddr include/linux/rseq_entry.h:502 [inline]
The local variable:
struct rseq_ids ids = {
.cpu_id = task_cpu(t),
.mm_cid = task_mm_cid(t),
.node_id = cpu_to_node(ids.cpu_id),
};
According to the C standard, the evaluation order of expressions in an
initializer list is indeterminately sequenced. The compiler (Clang, in
this KMSAN build) evaluates `cpu_to_node(ids.cpu_id)` *before*
`ids.cpu_id` is initialized with `task_cpu(t)`.
This is fixed by moving the assignment of ids.node_id outside the
structure initialization. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
thunderbolt: Reject zero-length property entries in validator
tb_property_entry_valid() accepts entries with length == 0 for
DIRECTORY, DATA, and TEXT types. A zero-length TEXT entry passes
validation but causes an underflow in the null-termination logic:
property->value.text[property->length * 4 - 1] = '\0';
When property->length is 0 this writes to offset -1 relative to
the allocation.
Reject zero-length entries early in the validator since they have no
valid representation in the XDomain property protocol. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ibm: emac: Fix use-after-free during device removal
The driver was using devm_register_netdev() which causes unregister_netdev()
to be deferred until the devres cleanup phase, which runs after emac_remove()
returns. This creates a use-after-free window where:
1. emac_remove() is called, which tears down hardware (cancels work, detaches
modules, unregisters from MAL)
2. emac_remove() returns
3. devres cleanup runs and finally calls unregister_netdev()
During step 3, the network stack might still process packets, triggering
emac_irq(), emac_poll(), or other handlers that access now-freed hardware
resources (dev->emacp, dev->mal, etc.).
Fix this by replacing devm_register_netdev() with manual register_netdev()
and calling unregister_netdev() at the beginning of emac_remove(), before
any hardware teardown. This ensures the network device is fully stopped and
unregistered before hardware resources are released.
The change is safe because:
- dev->ndev is assigned very early in probe (before any error paths that
could bypass emac_remove)
- platform_set_drvdata() is only called after successful registration, so
emac_remove() only runs for fully registered devices
- unregister_netdev() is idempotent and safe to call on any registered device |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: x_tables: avoid leaking percpu counter pointers
The native and compat get-entries paths copy the fixed rule entry header
from the kernelized rule blob to userspace before overwriting the entry's
counter fields with a sanitized counter snapshot.
On SMP kernels, entry->counters.pcnt contains the percpu allocation
address used by x_tables rule counters. A caller can provide a userspace
buffer that faults during the initial fixed-header copy after pcnt has
been copied but before the later sanitized counter copy runs. The syscall
then returns -EFAULT while leaving the raw percpu pointer in userspace.
Copy only the fixed entry prefix before counters from the kernelized rule
blob, then copy the sanitized counter snapshot into the counter field.
Apply this ordering to the IPv4, IPv6, and ARP native and compat
get-entries implementations so a fault cannot expose the internal percpu
counter pointer. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: phy: don't try to setup PHY-driven SFP cages when using genphy
We don't have support for PHY-driver SFP cages with the genphy code.
On top of that, it was found by sashiko that running
sfp_bus_add_upstream() for genphy deadlocks, as for genphy the PHY
probing runs under RTNL, which isn't the case for non-genphy drivers.
This problem was reproduced, and does lead to a deadlock on RTNL.
Before the blamed commit, the phy_sfp_probe() call was made by
individual PHY drivers, so there was no way to get to the SFP probing
path when using genphy.
Let's therefore only run phy_sfp_probe when not using genphy. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/ivpu: Add bounds check for firmware runtime memory
Validate that the firmware runtime memory specified in the image
header is properly aligned and sized to hold the firmware image.
This prevents errors during memory allocation and image transfer. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/display: Fix NULL deref and buffer over-read in SDP debugfs
[Why & How]
dp_sdp_message_debugfs_write() dereferences connector->base.state->crtc
without checking for NULL. A connector can be connected but not bound to
any CRTC (e.g. after hot-plug before the next atomic commit), causing a
kernel crash when writing to the sdp_message debugfs node.
The function also ignores the user-provided size argument and always
passes 36 bytes to copy_from_user(), reading past the user buffer when
size < 36.
Fix both issues by:
- Returning -ENODEV when connector->base.state or state->crtc is NULL
- Clamping write_size to min(size, sizeof(data))

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Fix abuse of kprobe_write_ctx via freplace
uprobe programs are allowed to modify struct pt_regs.
Since the actual program type of uprobe is KPROBE, it can be abused to
modify struct pt_regs via kprobe+freplace when the kprobe attaches to
kernel functions.
For example,
SEC("?kprobe")
int kprobe(struct pt_regs *regs)
{
return 0;
}
SEC("?freplace")
int freplace_kprobe(struct pt_regs *regs)
{
regs->di = 0;
return 0;
}
freplace_kprobe prog will attach to kprobe prog.
kprobe prog will attach to a kernel function.
Without this patch, when the kernel function runs, its first arg will
always be set as 0 via the freplace_kprobe prog.
To fix the abuse of kprobe_write_ctx=true via kprobe+freplace, disallow
attaching freplace programs on kprobe programs with different
kprobe_write_ctx values. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Switch CONFIG_CFI_CLANG to CONFIG_CFI
This was renamed in commit 23ef9d439769 ("kcfi: Rename CONFIG_CFI_CLANG
to CONFIG_CFI") as it is now a compiler-agnostic option. Using the wrong
name results in the code getting compiled out. Meaning the CFI failures
for btf_dtor_kfunc_t would still trigger. |
| Weblate is a web based localization tool. Prior to version 5.17.1, an authenticated user with project.add permission (default on hosted Weblate SaaS and for any user holding an active billing/trial plan) can import a crafted project backup ZIP whose components/<name>.json contains an attacker-chosen repo URL pointing at a private address (e.g. http://127.0.0.1:9999/) or using a non-allow-listed scheme (e.g. file://, git://). Weblate persists the component via Component.objects.bulk_create([component])[0], which bypasses Django's full_clean() and therefore never runs the validate_repo_url validator. The URL is subsequently written verbatim into .git/config by configure_repo(pull=False). This issue has been patched in version 5.17.1. |
| An authenticated user can crash mongod when running $rankFusion or $scoreFusion with an empty pipeline on a view.
When resolving a view, the server inspects the aggregation pipeline to determine whether it begins with an Atlas Search stage. For $rankFusion and $scoreFusion, this inspection reads the first element on each stage’s input pipeline array without first verifying that the array is non-empty. Supplying an empty pipeline causes a null pointer dereference and crashes the server.
This issue affects MongoDB Server 8.2 versions prior to 8.2.7. |
| Docling's JATS XML backend is vulnerable to XML Entity Expansion (XXE) attacks thru 2.61.0. The backend uses etree.parse() to parse XML files without disabling entity resolution. An attacker can craft a malicious XML file containing a nested entity expansion payload (XML Bomb). When processed by Docling, the exponential expansion of entities leads to excessive resource consumption, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition on the system running the Docling parser. |
| GPT-Pilot thru commit 0819827ce20346ef5f25b3fe29293cb448840565 (2025-09-03) contains a command injection vulnerability (CWE-78) in the Executor.run() method. During project execution, when the system prompts the user to confirm or modify a command to be run, it accepts free-text input without proper validation. The user-supplied input is directly passed to asyncio.create_subprocess_shell() for execution. This allows an attacker to replace the intended command with arbitrary shell commands, leading to remote code execution with the privileges of the GPT-Pilot process. |
| Grav is a file-based Web platform. Prior to 2.0.0-beta.2, the Login::register() method in the Login plugin accepts attacker-controlled groups and access fields from the registration POST data without server-side validation. When registration is enabled and groups or access are included in the configured allowed fields list, an unauthenticated user can self-register with admin.super privileges by injecting these fields into the registration request. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.0.0-beta.2. |
| The CloudStack Backup plugin has an improper authorization logic in versions 4.21.0.0 and 4.22.0.0. Anyone with authenticated user-account access in CloudStack 4.21.0.0+ environments, where this plugin is enabled and has access to specific APIs can list backups from any account in the environment. This vulnerability does not allow them to see the contents of the backup.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.22.0.1, which fixes the issue. |
| GoBGP is an open source Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) implementation in the Go Programming Language. In version 4.4.0, an unauthenticated remote BGP peer can trigger a fatal panic in GoBGP by sending a specially crafted BGP UPDATE message. When the server receives a message with inconsistent attribute lengths, it improperly handles the internal state transition to a "withdraw" action, leading to a nil pointer dereference in the AdjRib.Update function. This causes the entire GoBGP process to crash, resulting in a complete loss of service availability. This issue has been patched in version 4.5.0. |
| Grav is a file-based Web platform. Prior to 2.0.0-beta.2, a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in getgrav/grav allows publisher-level accounts to execute arbitrary JavaScript. The issue arises from a blacklist bypass in the detectXss() function when handling unquoted HTML event attributes. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.0.0-beta.2. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (XSS or 'Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in misp allows Stored XSS.
This issue affects MISP before 2.5.37.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in the template element attribute handling logic. The application accepted arbitrary values for the TemplateElementAttribute type and category fields without validating them against the known MISP attribute type and category definitions. An attacker with permission to create or modify template element attributes could store a crafted type value.
This affects the old templating (not more accessible in 2.5.37) engine from MISP which will be removed in 2.5.38 |
| Grav is a file-based Web platform. Prior to 2.0.0-beta.2, a low-privileged (with the ability to create a page) user can cause XSS with the injection of svg element. The XSS can further be escalated to dump the entire system information available under /admin/config/info whenever a Super Admin visits the page; which can further be chained with the use of admin-nonce to do a complete server compromise (RCE). This vulnerability is fixed in 2.0.0-beta.2. |
