CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: st: Fix use-after-free race between st_remove() and st_open()
st_remove() drops the probe reference on the scsi_tape with kref_put()
and only afterwards removes its index from st_index_idr. If that was the
last reference, scsi_tape_release() frees the structure while it is
still published in the idr.
scsi_tape_get(), called from st_open(), looks up the tape in
st_index_idr and takes a reference under st_ref_mutex and
st_index_lock. remove_cdevs() does not wait for opens that are already
past chrdev_open(), so an open that is blocked on st_ref_mutex while
st_remove() holds it can take the mutex as soon as st_remove() drops it,
find the freed tpnt in the idr and call kref_get() on it:
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in st_open
Write of size 4 ...
st_open (drivers/scsi/st.c:254 drivers/scsi/st.c:1291)
chrdev_open
...
Freed by task ...:
kfree
st_remove (drivers/scsi/st.c:4512)
Remove the index from the idr before dropping the reference, all under
st_ref_mutex. A concurrent scsi_tape_get() now either runs first and
holds a valid reference that keeps the tape alive, or runs afterwards
and finds nothing, so st_open() fails with -ENXIO.
This restores the ordering st_remove() had before the conversion to
st_index_idr, where the tape was unpublished from scsi_tapes[] before
the final kref_put(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ring-buffer: Fix false warning in ring_buffer_map_get_reader()
The mmap reader can warn when it catches up with a writer that is still
committing events. rb_get_reader_page() returns NULL in this case, but
ring_buffer_map_get_reader() treats that result as an error.
The initial rb_per_cpu_empty() check filters out an empty buffer, but it
does not guarantee that the next reader page has committed data. Writers
do not take reader_lock and can advance commit_page before publishing the
committed length on the new page. rb_get_reader_page() can swap to that
page, catch up with the writer and return NULL.
Handle NULL through the existing no-data exit without warning. Remove the
caller's reader_page == commit_page check as well, since the reader-page
helper already handles that case. The existing metadata update and return
path remain in place. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ring-buffer: Do not show buffer_meta for CPUs without a buffer
The per_cpu/cpuN/buffer_meta files are created for every possible CPU,
but buffer->buffers[cpu] is only allocated once that CPU comes online.
Reading the file of a CPU that never came online dereferences a NULL
cpu_buffer in rbm_start().
Fail the open with -ENODEV when the CPU has no buffer, as the other
per CPU ring buffer interfaces do. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
i2c: viai2c-wmt: Fix clock leak in wmt_i2c_probe()
In wmt_i2c_probe(), i2c->clk is acquired using of_clk_get(). If any
subsequent operation fails or when the module is unloaded, the clock
reference count is never decremented via clk_put(), leading to a
resource leak.
Switch to devm_clk_get() so that the clock is automatically managed
and released. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gpio: shared: fix use-after-free bug when adding shared proxies
The GPIO lookup table can stay alive for longer than the kobject whose
name string's address we're assigning to lookup->dev_id. Fix a potential
UAF by duplicating the string. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
firewire: core: fix race condition in split transaction handling
For a split transaction, either fw_core_handle_response() or
split_transaction_timeout_callback() may manipulate the same transaction
entry in the pending transaction list. The return value of timer_delete()
is used to determine which function handles the entry. If the transaction
is a split transaction and timer_delete() returns zero, the timeout
callback may already be running. In this case, the response handler must
leave the entry in the list for the timeout callback to remove.
A previous code refactoring broke this behavior, introducing a race
condition in which both functions could process the same transaction.
This could lead to a use-after-free on the transaction initiator side.
Fix the regression by ensuring that the response handler does not process
the transaction when timer_delete() returns zero. The timeout callback is
responsible for removing the entry from the pending transaction list. |
| A denial-of-service vulnerability was found in the Drools DRL expression parser (org.drools:drools-drl-parser). The ANTLR4-generated DRL expression grammar parses parenthesised sub-expressions through mutually recursive descent rules with no limit on nesting depth. When a deeply nested parenthesised constraint expression (approximately 300-400 levels) is parsed, the parsing thread exhausts its stack and a java.lang.StackOverflowError is raised and propagates out of the parse call instead of being converted into a DroolsParserException. An actor able to supply a crafted DRL expression to an application that parses untrusted DRL can cause a denial of service. |
| The Payment Forms for Paystack WordPress plugin before 4.0.6 does not properly restrict access to a page that displays its stored configuration, allowing users with the Contributor role and above to view secret payment-gateway API credentials, both the live and test secret keys, which grant full access to the site owner's payment account. |
| The Essential Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin before 6.8.8 does not correctly restrict who may set the role assigned to accounts created through its registration form, allowing authenticated users with Author-level access and above to cause newly registered accounts, including those created by unauthenticated visitors through the public registration form, to be granted a higher role such as Editor.
This is an incomplete fix of CVE-2026-5193: the role-validation control added in 6.6.0 can be circumvented by a lower-privileged user, so versions 6.6.0 through 6.8.7 remain affected even on sites that are patched against that advisory. |
| The All-in-One Video Gallery WordPress plugin before 5.0.0 does not check a video's publication status before rendering it on its player page, allowing unauthenticated users to view the title and source URLs of private, draft, pending, scheduled and trashed videos by their ID. |
| The Kali Forms — Contact Form & Drag-and-Drop Builder WordPress plugin before 2.4.30 does not perform a capability check when its test-email handler resolves and returns a user's email address, relying only on a nonce that is available to any logged-in user, allowing authenticated users with minimal privileges (Subscriber and above) to disclose the email address of any registered user, including administrators. |
| The Media Library Assistant WordPress plugin before 3.44 does not check that the requesting user is allowed to view a post before disclosing which taxonomy terms are assigned to it, allowing any authenticated user, such as a subscriber, to learn the term assignments of private attachments and posts. |
| The Premium Packages WordPress plugin before 7.2.2 does not prevent unauthenticated visitors from overwriting the stored price of items in their shopping cart, allowing them to create orders for any product at an arbitrary total of their choosing. |
| The Security Optimizer WordPress plugin before 1.6.9 does not limit the number of two-factor authentication codes that can be submitted for a pending login, allowing an attacker who already knows a user's password to brute force the second factor and take over the account. |
| The BuddyForms WordPress plugin before 2.10.1 does not properly verify ownership before deleting guest-uploaded attachments, allowing unauthenticated attackers to permanently delete media files uploaded by other unauthenticated visitors. |
| The Quick Event Manager WordPress plugin before 9.19 does not verify the status or type of the requested post before returning its details through a calendar export, allowing unauthenticated users to read the content of draft and private posts. |
| The Payable Payment Gateway for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 1.3.1 does not verify the authenticity of an incoming payment notification before marking a WooCommerce order paid or failed, allowing unauthenticated attackers to change the payment status of any order in the store regardless of the payment method it was placed with. |
| The Kali Forms — Contact Form & Drag-and-Drop Builder WordPress plugin before 2.4.30 does not perform a capability check on its test-email handler, relying only on a nonce that is available to any logged-in user, so a low-privileged user such as a Subscriber can make the site send email to an arbitrary recipient with a spoofed sender address. |
| The BuddyBoss Platform plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Group Name in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires the "Enable social group creation by all members" setting to be enabled, which is the default and permits Subscriber-level users to create groups; exploitation is not possible if group creation is restricted to administrators. |
| The Product Filter for WooCommerce by WBW plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via 'wpf_fid' JSON Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.4.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The vulnerability persists in versions that received the 3.4.3 patch because absint() was applied only to the getVar() read path, leaving the wpf_fid value read from the JSON-decoded filterSettings payload entirely unsanitized. |
