A vulnerability was determined in FastStone Image Viewer up to 8.3. This impacts an unknown function of the component PCX Decoder. This manipulation causes out-of-bounds read. The attack may be initiated remotely. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A flaw has been found in FastStone Image Viewer up to 8.3. The affected element is an unknown function of the component TGA Image Handler. Executing a manipulation can lead to out-of-bounds write. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. From 7.0.13 until 7.0.17, the SMTP MIME quoted-printable decoder in src/util-decode-mime.c can read one byte past a heap buffer when a quoted-printable escape sequence is split across traffic chunks and the following chunk contains exactly one byte. Crafted SMTP traffic can trigger the out-of-bounds read and crash Suricata when decode-quoted-printable MIME decoding is enabled. This issue is fixed in version 7.0.17.
A security flaw has been discovered in FAST FAC1203R 20200116_2.0.4. The affected element is the function _tWlanTask of the component MmtAtePrase Parser. Performing a manipulation results in stack-based buffer overflow. The attacker must have access to the local network to execute the attack. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A security vulnerability has been detected in Trusted Domain Project OpenDMARC up to 1.4.2. This impacts an unknown function of the file libopendmarc/opendmarc_policy.c of the component DMARC Parser. The manipulation of the argument pct leads to integer overflow. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Bento4 1.6.0.0 contains an integer underflow vulnerability in the avcC and hvcC configuration atom parsers. A specially crafted MP4 file containing an atom with a declared size smaller than AP4_ATOM_HEADER_SIZE can cause AP4_AvccAtom::Create() or AP4_HvccAtom::Create() to underflow the payload-size calculation. The resulting oversized buffer operation can cause invalid or NULL pointers to be passed to the AP4_DataBuffer copy path, resulting in application termination and denial of service.
simdjson 4.6.1 contains a one-byte out-of-bounds read vulnerability in dom::parser::parse_unpadded(). A specially crafted truncated JSON document whose final structural token closes a nested array or object can cause json_iterator::walk_document() to access buf[len] after the input buffer has been exhausted. This results in a heap out-of-bounds read and may cause application termination, leading to denial of service.
minimp3 commit ea99364f contains an integer overflow vulnerability in mp3dec_skip_id3v1() when parsing the APEv2 tag-size field.
DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite. Prior to version 0.22.6, setting `readonly = true` on the `execute_sql` tool does not make the connection read-only. The connectors are written to set PostgreSQL `default_transaction_read_only=on` (and open SQLite in `readOnly` mode), but that code is gated on a config value that is never populated, so it never runs. The only thing left enforcing read-only is a classifier that inspects the first keyword of each statement. Any `SELECT` that writes or has side effects through a function call passes it. With an ordinary role this allows sequence tampering; with a privileged role it allows writing arbitrary files on the server (`lo_export`), reading arbitrary host files (`pg_read_file`), and remote code execution (`dblink` + `COPY ... TO PROGRAM`). The HTTP transport is unauthenticated and binds to `0.0.0.0` by default, so this is reachable by any network caller of `/mcp`. Version 0.22.6 patches the issue.
HFS2 version 2.4.0 and earlier contains a template injection vulnerability in the multipart upload handler that allows unauthenticated attackers to achieve remote code execution by embedding malicious template syntax in a filename. Attackers can craft a filename containing a closing template quoting sequence followed by an exec macro, which bypasses the authorization check in the dispatcher to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying host system.
Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java. Prior to 6.4.1 and 7.0.0-alpha04, Wire's Swift runtime ProtoReader.skipGroup(expectedEndTag:unknownFieldsWriter:) accepts a negative length for a LENGTH_DELIMITED field inside an unknown START_GROUP field. ProtoReader.readData() forwards the negative count to ReadBuffer.readData(count:), whose upper-bound-only check permits the value to reach Foundation Data(bytes:count:) and trigger an unrecoverable process trap instead of a catchable ProtoDecoder.Error. Any Swift process decoding untrusted protobuf bytes can be crashed without authentication, user interaction, or knowledge of the target schema. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.1 and 7.0.0-alpha04.
JLine is a Java library for handling console input. From 3.0.0 until 3.30.15 and 4.3.1, DefaultHistory.matchPatterns(String patterns, String line) in reader/src/main/java/org/jline/reader/impl/history/DefaultHistory.java converts the HISTORY_IGNORE configuration value into a Java regular expression while escaping only part of its syntax, allowing other regex metacharacters to reach the backtracking engine. An attacker who can control application or user configuration can supply a nested-quantifier expression that is reevaluated whenever a command is added to history, consuming excessive CPU and indefinitely blocking the reader thread. This issue is fixed in versions 3.30.15 and 4.3.1.
A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by presenting a specially crafted Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) response during a TLS handshake. Due to a logic error in how gnutls processes multi-record OCSP responses, a client with OCSP verification enabled may incorrectly accept a revoked server certificate, potentially leading to a compromise of trust.
A flaw was found in libarchive. On 32-bit systems, an integer overflow vulnerability exists in the zisofs block pointer allocation logic. A remote attacker can exploit this by providing a specially crafted ISO9660 image, which can lead to a heap buffer overflow. This could potentially allow for arbitrary code execution on the affected system.
A flaw was found in GNU Coreutils. The sort utility's begfield() function is vulnerable to a heap buffer under-read. The program may access memory outside the allocated buffer if a user runs a crafted command using the traditional key format. A malicious input could lead to a crash or leak sensitive data.
A flaw was found in libarchive. This heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the RAR archive processing logic due to improper validation of the LZSS sliding window size after transitions between compression methods. A remote attacker can exploit this by providing a specially crafted RAR archive, leading to the disclosure of sensitive heap memory information without requiring authentication or user interaction.
IBM Concert 1.0.0 through 3.0.0 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking. A local user could overflow the buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Core Messaging allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
