CVSS v3.1 |
| A remote code execution vulnerability exists when Windows Hyper-V on a host server fails to properly validate input from an authenticated user on a guest operating system. To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker could run a specially crafted application on a guest operating system that could cause the Hyper-V host operating system to execute arbitrary code.
An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could execute arbitrary code on the host operating system.
The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Hyper-V validates guest operating system user input. |
| A memory corruption vulnerability exists in the Windows DHCP client when an attacker sends specially crafted DHCP responses to a client. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could run arbitrary code on the client machine.
To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker could send specially crafted DHCP responses to a client.
The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Windows DHCP clients handle certain DHCP responses. |
| A denial of service vulnerability exists when Microsoft Hyper-V Network Switch on a host server fails to properly validate input from a privileged user on a guest operating system. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could cause the host server to crash.
To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker who already has a privileged account on a guest operating system, running as a virtual machine, could run a specially crafted application that causes a host machine to crash.
The update addresses the vulnerability by modifying how virtual machines access the Hyper-V Network Switch. |

| A denial of service vulnerability exists when Windows improperly handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could cause a target system to stop responding.
To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would have to log on to an affected system and run a specially crafted application. The vulnerability would not allow an attacker to execute code or to elevate user rights directly, but it could be used to cause a target system to stop responding.
The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Windows handles objects in memory. |

| Dell PowerScale OneFS versions 9.1.0.3 and earlier contain a denial of service vulnerability. SmartConnect had an error condition that may be triggered to loop, using CPU and potentially preventing other SmartConnect DNS responses. |
| Dell PowerScale OneFS 8.1.0 - 9.1.0 contains a privilege escalation in SmartLock compliance mode that may allow compadmin to execute arbitrary commands as root. |
| Dell PowerScale OneFS versions 8.2.2.x through 9.8.0.0 contains an incorrect privilege assignment vulnerability. A local high privileged attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability to gain root-level access. |
| Dell PowerScale OneFS versions 8.2.2.x through 9.8.0.1 contains a UNIX symbolic link (symlink) following vulnerability. A local high privileged attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to denial of service, information tampering. |
|
Dell PowerScale OneFS, 8.0.x-9.5.x, contains an improper handling of insufficient privileges vulnerability. A local privileged attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to elevation of privilege and affect in compliance mode also.
|
|
Dell PowerScale OneFS 8.2x -9.5x contains an improper privilege management vulnerability. A high privilege local attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to system takeover.
|
|
Dell PowerScale OneFS, 8.2.2.x through 9.6.0.x, contains an improper control of a resource through its lifetime vulnerability. An unauthenticated network attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to denial of service.
|
|
Dell PowerScale OneFS 8.2.x, 9.0.0.x-9.5.0.x contains an improper handling of insufficient permissions. A low privileged remote attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability to cause information disclosure.
|
|
Dell PowerScale OneFS, 8.2.x-9.5.x, contains a exposure of sensitive information to an unauthorized Actor vulnerability. An authorized local attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to escalation of privileges.
|
| Dell PowerScale OneFS versions 8.2.x through 9.7.0.2 contains a use of a broken or risky cryptographic algorithm vulnerability. A remote unauthenticated attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to information disclosure. |
| Dell PowerScale OneFS versions 8.2.x through 9.7.0.2 contains an improper handling of unexpected data type vulnerability. A remote unauthenticated attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to denial of service. |
