CVSS v3.1 |
The rs_filter_graph function in librawstudio/rs-filter.c in rawstudio might allow local users to truncate arbitrary files via a symlink attack on (1) /tmp/rs-filter-graph.png or (2) /tmp/rs-filter-graph.
The chroot, jail, and zone connection plugins in ansible before 1.9.2 allow local users to escape a restricted environment via a symlink attack.
The pg_ctlcluster script in postgresql-common package in Debian wheezy before 134wheezy5, in Debian jessie before 165+deb8u2, in Debian unstable before 178, in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS before 129ubuntu1.2, in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS before 154ubuntu1.1, in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS before 173ubuntu0.1, in Ubuntu 17.04 before 179ubuntu0.1, and in Ubuntu 17.10 before 184ubuntu1.1 allows local users to gain root privileges via a symlink attack on a logfile in /var/log/postgresql.
A flaw was found in the way Ansible (2.3.x before 2.3.3, and 2.4.x before 2.4.1) passed certain parameters to the jenkins_plugin module. Remote attackers could use this flaw to expose sensitive information from a remote host's logs. This flaw was fixed by not allowing passwords to be specified in the "params" argument, and noting this in the module documentation.
Kibana before 4.5.4 and 4.1.11 when a custom output is configured for logging in, cookies and authorization headers could be written to the log files. This information could be used to hijack sessions of other users when using Kibana behind some form of authentication such as Shield.
Versions of MCollective prior to 2.10.4 deserialized YAML from agents without calling safe_load, allowing the potential for arbitrary code execution on the server. The fix for this is to call YAML.safe_load on input. This has been tested in all Puppet-supplied MCollective plugins, but there is a chance that third-party plugins could rely on this insecure behavior.
In the IMM2 firmware of Lenovo System x servers, remote commands issued by LXCA or other utilities may be captured in the First Failure Data Capture (FFDC) service log if the service log is generated when that remote command is running. Captured command data may contain clear text login information. Authorized users that can capture and export FFDC service log data may have access to these remote commands.
A vulnerability has been identified in Micro Focus GroupWise Web in versions prior to 18.4.2. The GW Web component makes a request to the Post Office Agent that contains sensitive information in the query parameters that could be logged by any intervening HTTP proxies.
Deserialization of Untrusted Data in jeecgFormDemoController in JEECG 4.0 and earlier allows attackers to run arbitrary code via crafted POST request.
|
A symbolic link manipulation vulnerability in Trellix Anti-Malware Engine prior to the January 2024 release allows an authenticated local user to potentially gain an escalation of privileges. This was achieved by adding an entry to the registry under the Trellix ENS registry folder with a symbolic link to files that the user wouldn't normally have permission to. After a scan, the Engine would follow the links and remove the files

An attacker can decrypt the Ovarro TBox login password by communication capture and brute force attacks.
Jenkins AsakusaSatellite Plugin 0.1.1 and earlier stores AsakusaSatellite API keys unencrypted in job config.xml files on the Jenkins controller where they can be viewed by users with Item/Extended Read permission or access to the Jenkins controller file system.
Jenkins AsakusaSatellite Plugin 0.1.1 and earlier does not mask AsakusaSatellite API keys displayed on the job configuration form, increasing the potential for attackers to observe and capture them.

IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.7, 11.2.0, and 11.2.1 could be vulnerable to sensitive information exposure by passing API keys to log files. If these keys contain sensitive information, it could lead to further attacks. IBM X-Force ID: 240450.

Pentaminds CuroVMS v2.0.1 was discovered to contain exposed credentials.
The SolarWinds Security Event Manager was susceptible to Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated user to abuse SolarWinds’ service, resulting in remote code execution.
The system tool has inconsistent serialization and deserialization. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will cause unauthorized startup of components.
Rockwell Automation ISaGRAF Runtime Versions 4.x and 5.x stores the password in plaintext in a file that is in the same directory as the executable file. ISaGRAF Runtime reads the file and saves the data in a variable without any additional modification. A local, unauthenticated attacker could compromise the user passwords, resulting in information disclosure.
Rockwell Automation Connected Components Workbench v12.00.00 and prior does not limit the objects that can be deserialized. This vulnerability allows attackers to craft a malicious serialized object that, if opened by a local user in Connected Components Workbench, may result in remote code execution. This vulnerability requires user interaction to be successfully exploited.
The weak password on the web user interface can be exploited via HTTP or HTTPS. Once such access has been obtained, the other passwords can be changed. The weak password on Linux accounts can be accessed via SSH or Telnet, the former of which is by default enabled on trusted interfaces. While the SSH service does not support root login, a user logging in using either of the other Linux accounts may elevate to root access using the su command if they have access to the associated password.
