CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm-pcache: only hand out initialized cache segments
get_cache_segment() scans the segment map up to cache->n_segs, the
physical device segment count, but cache_segs_init() only initializes
the first cache_info->n_segs segments. A crafted image with
cache_info->n_segs smaller than the device count leaves the remaining
pcache_cache_segment structs zeroed (segment.data == NULL), and the
allocator can hand one to cache_kset_close(), which writes through the
returned segment's data pointer with no NULL check.
Bound the allocator's search to cache_info->n_segs so only initialized
segments are ever returned. A conforming cache sets n_segs equal to the
device segment count, so this rejects nothing legitimate. |
| Code execution can occur in versions of the MLflow platform running version 0.0.1 or newer, enabling a maliciously crafted model artifact to execute arbitrary code on an end user's system when loaded by the project. |
| Ladybird before commit 2f9dc7e contains a dangling-reference memory-safety flaw in its WebAssembly ESM-integration module loader. When a JavaScript function is imported into a WebAssembly module via the ESM path, WebAssemblyModule.cpp passes a stack-local Wasm::FunctionType by reference to create_host_function, whose host callback captures and later reads that reference; once the ESM link-loop iteration ends the FunctionType is destroyed, leaving the callback with a dangling reference (the normal instantiate path uses a long-lived reference and is not affected). Stale result-type data lets the host callback return an empty result vector for a statically non-empty result, so the destination register retains an attacker-influenced value that is then consumed by the WASM-GC array.set handler, which bit-casts the reference low bits to an ArrayInstance pointer after only a null check, yielding an arbitrary write. A web page can chain this into code execution in the WebContent process. Verified reachable from HTML content without any instrumentation or source modification. |
| ws is an open source WebSocket client and server for Node.js. Prior to 8.20.1, the websocket.close() implementation is vulnerable to uninitialized memory disclosure when a TypedArray is passed as the reason argument. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.20.1. |
| Issue summary: A specially crafted PKCS#7 or S/MIME signed message could
trigger a use-after-free during PKCS#7 signature verification.
Impact summary: A use-after-free may result in process crashes, heap
corruption, or potentially remote code execution.
When processing a PKCS#7 or S/MIME signed message, if the SignedData
digestAlgorithms field is present as an empty ASN.1 SET, OpenSSL may
incorrectly free a caller-owned BIO during PKCS7_verify(). A subsequent
use of the BIO by the calling application results in a use-after-free
condition.
In the common case this occurs when the application later calls
BIO_free() on the BIO originally passed to PKCS7_verify(). Depending
on allocator behavior and application-specific BIO usage patterns, this
may result in a crash or other memory corruption. In some application
contexts this may potentially be exploitable for remote code execution.
Applications that process PKCS#7 or S/MIME signed messages using OpenSSL
PKCS#7 APIs may be affected. Applications using the CMS APIs for this
processing are not affected.
The FIPS modules in 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, and 3.0 are not affected by this
issue, as the affected code is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary. |

| Untrusted pointer dereference in Windows Virtualization-Based Security (VBS) Enclave allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| A vulnerability was found in DaveGamble cJSON up to 1.7.19. The affected element is the function cJSONUtils_MergePatch of the file cJSON_Utils.c. The manipulation results in use after free. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. |

| Use after free in Chromecast in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| Improper initialization in Views in Google Chrome on on Windows prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process and leveraged social engineering to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. | ImageMagick before 7.1.2-30 and 6.9.x before 6.9.13-55 contains a heap-use-after-free vulnerability in the Layer method of PerlMagick. An attacker who supplies a crafted list of images can trigger memory access after deallocation, resulting in a crash (denial of service). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vfio/pci: Clean up DMABUFs before disabling function
On device shutdown, make vfio_pci_core_close_device() call
vfio_pci_dma_buf_cleanup() before the function is disabled via
vfio_pci_core_disable(). This ensures that all access via DMABUFs is
revoked before the function's BARs become inaccessible.
This fixes an issue where, if the function is disabled first, a tiny
window exists in which the function's MSE is cleared and yet BARs
could still be accessed via the DMABUF. The resources would also be
freed and up for grabs by a different driver. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: arm64: Take the SRCU lock for page table walks in fault injection and AT emulation
walk_s1() and kvm_walk_nested_s2() expect to be called while holding
kvm->srcu to guard against memslot changes. While this is generally
the case, __kvm_at_s12() and __kvm_find_s1_desc_level() call into the
respective walkers without taking kvm->srcu.
Fix by acquiring kvm->srcu prior to the table walk in both instances. |
| libpcap BPF interpreter detects neither reaching the end of the filter program buffer due to lack of a return instruction nor executing a jump instruction with an offset that translates to a pointer outside of the buffer. In particular uncommon use cases a crafted filter program can cause the interpreter to try reading the OS process memory in the 32GiB around the buffer on 64-bit architectures and in the entire address space on 32-bit architectures. |
