CVE-2026-86861 1 Pgadmin 1 Pgadmin 4 2026-09-21 5.9 Medium
pgAdmin 4's File Manager save_file endpoint, which backs saving from the Query Tool and ERD, validated the requested path with Filemanager.check_access_permission() and then opened the file for writing with a plain open() call. CVE-2026-7819 had previously hardened the separate file upload path by opening its target with O_NOFOLLOW, so that the kernel refuses to follow a symbolic link at the final path component, but save_file was left on an unprotected open(). A symbolic link already present when the check ran was rejected by the check itself; the remaining exposure was a link substituted at the final path component in the interval between the check and the write, at which point the write followed the link and landed outside the user's storage directory, creating or overwriting an arbitrary file as the operating-system account running pgAdmin. Exploitation requires the ability to create or replace a symbolic link inside the requesting user's storage directory. pgAdmin exposes no interface that creates symbolic links, so this requires filesystem access to the pgAdmin host or to a shared or network-mounted storage backend, together with winning the timing window. The reporter did not achieve a write against a released version, having attempted approximately 63,000 racing requests without success; the reported defect is the uncovered write path rather than a demonstrated sandbox escape. The fix routes save_file's write through the same O_NOFOLLOW-protected helper already used by the upload path, so both File Manager write sinks carry identical kernel-enforced protection, and reports a symbolic-link refusal explicitly instead of surfacing the underlying system error text. Note that files created by save_file are now given mode 0600, inheriting the behaviour introduced for uploads. The protection covers the final path component; substitution of an intermediate directory component is not addressed by this change. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: from the introduction of the containment check in the File Manager save path before 9.18.
CVE-2026-55567 1 Bleachbit 1 Bleachbit 2026-09-21 7.8 High
BleachBit cleans files to free disk space and to maintain privacy. Prior to 6.0.1, privileged Windows cleaning does not lock and validate a target's parent directory before deletion. A local unprivileged user can replace that directory with a Windows junction and use a native symlink to redirect the elevated deletion to an attacker-selected file. The arbitrary privileged file deletion can be combined with Windows Installer behavior to obtain local SYSTEM privileges. This issue is fixed in version 6.0.1.
CVE-2026-80521 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Unlink scc_entry in unix_del_edge(). Kyle Zeng reported that GC could free a dead SCC partially. The scenario is as follows: 1) Create two SCCs: X -. A <-> B ^--' 2) Run the following concurrently: 2-1) send() sk-B to sk-B from sk-X 2-2) close() both A and B At 2-1), there is a small window where unix_add_edges() publishes a new edge (B <-> B) to GC but its skb is not queued by skb_queue_tail(). If 2-2) completes before skb_queue_tail() and GC is triggered, it judges A <-> B as dead, but B is not freed because GC cannot collect the not-yet-queued skb holding the B <-> B edge. X -. A <-> B -. This edge is visible ^--' ^..' but skb is not This itself is not a problem since the next GC run will judge B as dead as well and free it finally. X -. A <.> B -. ^--' ^--' However, X's SCC forces the next GC to call unix_walk_scc_fast(), and it iterates over A through B's scc_entry. Let's unlink scc_entry before freeing the vertex in unix_del_edge().
CVE-2026-72355 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-21 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix barriering when walking subrequest list Fix the barriering used when walking the subrequest list in retry as there's a possibility of seeing a subreq that's just been added by the application thread.
CVE-2026-93380 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-09-21 3.1 Low
Race condition in FileSystem in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.52 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process and leveraged social engineering to bypass system access restrictions via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
CVE-2026-86836 1 Eclipse 1 Ankaios 2026-09-20 N/A
In Eclipse Ankaios versions 0.1.0 through 1.0.2, the agent creates workload files and Control Interface named pipes (FIFOs) under a predictable path derived from the agent name and a hash of the workload's runtime configuration. If a directory or FIFO already exists at that path when the agent (re)starts, the agent reuses it based only on an existence and/or file-type check, without validating its owner or permissions. A local, unprivileged user with write access to the same base directory (by default under `$TMPDIR/ankaios`, e.g. shared `/tmp`) can pre-create this path hierarchy, including the two Control Interface FIFOs, before the agent starts. The agent then treats the attacker-owned FIFOs as the legitimate Control Interface for the targeted workload. The attacker can complete the Control Interface handshake and issue requests using that workload's configured `controlInterfaceAccess` permissions, allowing impersonation of the workload and, depending on its configured permissions, unauthorized reading and/or modification of the cluster's desired state.
CVE-2026-58716 1 Google 1 Android 2026-09-20 6.7 Medium
In multiple locations, there is a possible time-of-check to time-of-use due to a race condition. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with System execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
CVE-2026-90190 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-20 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: null_blk: use DEFINE_MUTEX for the file-scope mutex In null_init(), mutex_init(&lock) currently happens after configfs_register_subsystem(), which exposes the nullb subsystem to userspace. A racing mkdir() into /sys/kernel/config/nullb/ can reach null_find_dev_by_name() -> mutex_lock(&lock) before the mutex is initialized, trigger warning: [ 123.137788] DEBUG_LOCKS_WARN_ON(lock->magic != lock) [ 123.137796] WARNING: kernel/locking/mutex.c:159 at mutex_lock+0x171/0x1c0, CPU#13: mkdir/1301 [ 123.140090] Modules linked in: null_blk(+) nft_fib_inet nft_fib_ipv4 ...... CVE-2026-86424 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-09-19 2.5 Low
ImageMagick before 7.1.2-30 and 6.9.13-55 contains a time-of-check-time-of-use (TOCTOU) vulnerability in the video decoder that allows attackers to bypass path policy write restrictions via symlink swaps. An attacker can replace a symlink between policy validation (check-time) and the file write operation (use-time) to write to policy-denied locations.
CVE-2026-90393 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-19 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix potential UAF in bpf_netns_link_update_prog In bpf_netns_link_update_prog, the checks for old_prog and prog type are currently performed locklessly before acquiring netns_bpf_mutex. This creates a race condition that can lead to a UAF issue. If two threads concurrently execute BPF_LINK_UPDATE on the same netns link, the following execution path can trigger a UAF: CPU0 CPU1 bpf_netns_link_update_prog if (old_prog && old_prog != link->prog) return -EPERM; bpf_netns_link_update_prog if (old_prog && old_prog != link->prog) ... old_prog = xchg(&link->prog, new_prog); bpf_prog_put(old_prog); if (new_prog->type != link->prog->type) <-- trigger UAF Fix this by moving the old_prog and prog->type checks inside the netns_bpf_mutex critical section. Meanwhile, use guard() to simplify lock management and avoid all the goto jumping.
CVE-2026-90262 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-19 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: retry verity reads for not-uptodate Merkle folios btrfs_read_merkle_tree_page() can find a folio in the mapping that is not uptodate. After taking the folio lock, the current code treats that state as a read error and returns -EIO. That can make a previous transient read failure sticky. If the failed read left a not-uptodate folio in the mapping, later callers find that folio and fail instead of retrying the read. Keep the existing page-cache insertion and locking order, but retry the Merkle item read when a not-uptodate folio is found in the mapping. Also unlock the folio when read_key_bytes() fails so that a later caller can lock it and retry the read.
CVE-2026-54587 1 Midnightbsd 1 Mport 2026-09-18 N/A
mport is the MidnightBSD Package Manager. Prior to 2.7.8, directory assets handled as ASSET_DIR or ASSET_DIR_OWNER_MODE in libmport/bundle_read_install_pkg.c used path-based mport_mkdirp(), ownership, and permission operations. A local attacker able to modify part of the target installation tree could use dot-dot traversal or substitute symlinks during privileged package installation, causing directory creation or attribute changes to affect attacker-selected paths outside the intended package directories. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.8.
CVE-2026-54576 1 Midnightbsd 1 Mport 2026-09-18 N/A
mport is the MidnightBSD Package Manager. Prior to 2.7.8, do_actual_install() in libmport/bundle_read_install_pkg.c used path-based lstat(), chown(), stat(), and chmod() operations while installing package files. A local attacker with write access to a target directory could replace a checked file with a symlink before privileged ownership or mode changes were applied, redirecting those changes to an attacker-selected path and compromising filesystem integrity or permissions. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.8.
CVE-2026-54020 2 Open-webui, Openwebui 2 Open-webui, Open Webui 2026-09-18 6.3 Medium
Open WebUI is an extensible, feature-rich, and user-friendly self-hosted AI platform. Prior to 0.11.0, Open WebUI resolved a hostname during URL validation and rejected private, loopback, and link-local addresses, but the HTTP clients resolved the hostname again at connection time. An authenticated attacker who controlled authoritative DNS for a submitted hostname could answer with a public address during validation and an internal one during connection, reaching cloud metadata, loopback admin APIs, or internal services through URL ingest, chat image_url fetches, image editing, or OAuth profile-picture fetches, with most paths returning the response to the attacker and the OAuth path forwarding the OAuth access token. This issue is fixed in 0.11.0.
CVE-2026-91743 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-09-18 8.3 High
Race condition in Core in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.47 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-91712 2 Apple, Google 2 Macos, Chrome 2026-09-18 8.3 High
Race condition in Extensions in Google Chrome on on Mac prior to 153.0.8010.47 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-91744 2 Apple, Google 2 Macos, Chrome 2026-09-18 5.3 Medium
Race condition in PlatformIntegration in Google Chrome on on Mac prior to 153.0.8010.47 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process and leveraged social engineering to obtain sensitive information via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-45720 1 Siderolabs 1 Omni 2026-09-18 7 High
Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud. Prior to 1.6.6 and from 1.7.0 until 1.7.3, SAML.getSession in internal/pkg/auth/interceptor/saml.go checks SAMLAssertion.Used and marks it used in separate state operations. Concurrent requests carrying the same captured saml-session token can each observe the assertion as unused and obtain authentication as the victim before either update is visible. The attacker can invoke SAML-protected gRPC endpoints, use ConfirmPublicKey to create multiple persistent credentials tied to the victim, and generate audit entries attributed to the victim, with the resulting access potentially affecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability according to the victim's privileges. This issue is fixed in versions 1.6.6 and 1.7.3.
CVE-2026-89928 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-18 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86/mmu: Consume the locked rmap value in the lockless rmap walk __kvm_rmap_lock() deliberately elides the rmap lock when it observes an empty rmap. In that case kvm_rmap_lock_readonly() also re-enables preemption and returns zero, so the caller holds neither the rmap lock nor a preemption reference. The elision documents the invariant it relies on: * Elide the lock if the rmap is empty, as lockless walkers (read-only * mode) don't need to (and can't) walk an empty rmap, nor can they add * entries to the rmap. I.e. the only paths that process empty rmaps * do so while holding mmu_lock for write, and are mutually exclusive. kvm_rmap_age_gfn_range() ignores the returned value and unconditionally enters for_each_rmap_spte_lockless(). The iterator started with rmap_get_first(), which re-reads rmap_head->val rather than using the value returned by the lock. If a writer populates the rmap between the lock's read and the iterator's re-read, the aging path walks the newly installed rmap without holding its lock. For a KVM_RMAP_MANY rmap this leaves the walker following a pte_list_desc chain that it never locked. A writer holding mmu_lock for write may free that chain (e.g. kvm_zap_all_rmap_sptes() on the recycle path, or any rmap zap) via kmem_cache_free() while the walk is in progress, giving a slab use-after-free. Nothing serialises the two: the aging path runs without mmu_lock when CONFIG_KVM_MMU_LOCKLESS_AGING=y, and the rmap lock that would otherwise exclude the writer was elided. Because the empty path re-enables preemption, the interval between the two reads can span an arbitrary scheduling delay. Fix the class of bug by having the lockless walk consume the value returned by the lock instead of re-reading the rmap. Split rmap_get_first() into __rmap_get_first(), which starts an iterator from an already-read rmap value, and make for_each_rmap_spte_lockless() take that value and call __rmap_get_first() directly. kvm_rmap_age_gfn_range() passes the value returned by kvm_rmap_lock_readonly(): when the lock was elided the value is zero, __rmap_get_first() returns NULL, and the walk is skipped. No lockless walker re-reads the rmap, so the lock-elision invariant cannot be violated, and no lock()-without-paired-unlock() path is added to the aging code.
CVE-2026-40058 1 Crowdstrike 3 Cslarouxcleanuptool, Falcon, Falcon Sensor For Windows 2026-09-17 8.8 High
CrowdStrike released a security update to address a vulnerability in the Falcon sensor for Windows. The vulnerability only exists when the Microsoft Office File Malicious Macro Removal Windows policy setting is enabled and customers remain protected through the Cloud Anti-malware for Microsoft Office Files settings. An update is available immediately for versions 7.34 and above, 7.32 LTS, and 7.16 for Windows 7/2008 R2 systems. The Falcon sensor for Mac, Linux, and Legacy Systems are not affected.  This vulnerability could expose an arbitrary file write to protected locations from an unprivileged context, potentially leading to local privilege escalation. The CrowdStrike Laroux Malware Cleanup Tool, based off of the same feature in the CrowdStrike Falcon sensor for Windows, is also affected. An update for this tool is also available immediately.
