| CVE-2025-4517 | 2 Python, Redhat | 7 Cpython, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2025-10-24 | 9.4 Critical |
| Allows arbitrary filesystem writes outside the extraction directory during extraction with filter="data". You are affected by this vulnerability if using the tarfile module to extract untrusted tar archives using TarFile.extractall() or TarFile.extract() using the filter= parameter with a value of "data" or "tar". See the tarfile extraction filters documentation https://docs.python.org/3/library/tarfile.html#tarfile-extraction-filter for more information. Note that for Python 3.14 or later the default value of filter= changed from "no filtering" to `"data", so if you are relying on this new default behavior then your usage is also affected. Note that none of these vulnerabilities significantly affect the installation of source distributions which are tar archives as source distributions already allow arbitrary code execution during the build process. However when evaluating source distributions it's important to avoid installing source distributions with suspicious links. | ||||
| CVE-2023-42917 | 5 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 13 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 10 more | 2025-10-23 | 8.8 High |
| A memory corruption vulnerability was addressed with improved locking. This issue is fixed in iOS 17.1.2 and iPadOS 17.1.2, macOS Sonoma 14.1.2, Safari 17.1.2. Processing web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited against versions of iOS before iOS 16.7.1. | ||||

| In unix_scm_to_skb of af_unix.c, there is a possible use after free bug due to a race condition. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with System execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Product: AndroidVersions: Android kernelAndroid ID: A-196926917References: Upstream kernel | ||||
| CVE-2013-2596 | 4 Linux, Motorola, Qualcomm and 1 more | 10 Linux Kernel, Android, Atrix Hd and 7 more | 2025-10-22 | 7.8 High |
| Integer overflow in the fb_mmap function in drivers/video/fbmem.c in the Linux kernel before 3.8.9, as used in a certain Motorola build of Android 4.1.2 and other products, allows local users to create a read-write memory mapping for the entirety of kernel memory, and consequently gain privileges, via crafted /dev/graphics/fb0 mmap2 system calls, as demonstrated by the Motochopper pwn program. | ||||
| CVE-2017-7494 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Samba | 9 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 6 more | 2025-10-22 | 9.8 Critical |
| Samba since version 3.5.0 and before 4.6.4, 4.5.10 and 4.4.14 is vulnerable to remote code execution vulnerability, allowing a malicious client to upload a shared library to a writable share, and then cause the server to load and execute it. | ||||
| CVE-2017-1000253 | 3 Centos, Linux, Redhat | 8 Centos, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2025-10-22 | 7.8 High |
| Linux distributions that have not patched their long-term kernels with https://git.kernel.org/linus/a87938b2e246b81b4fb713edb371a9fa3c5c3c86 (committed on April 14, 2015). This kernel vulnerability was fixed in April 2015 by commit a87938b2e246b81b4fb713edb371a9fa3c5c3c86 (backported to Linux 3.10.77 in May 2015), but it was not recognized as a security threat. With CONFIG_ARCH_BINFMT_ELF_RANDOMIZE_PIE enabled, and a normal top-down address allocation strategy, load_elf_binary() will attempt to map a PIE binary into an address range immediately below mm->mmap_base. Unfortunately, load_elf_ binary() does not take account of the need to allocate sufficient space for the entire binary which means that, while the first PT_LOAD segment is mapped below mm->mmap_base, the subsequent PT_LOAD segment(s) end up being mapped above mm->mmap_base into the are that is supposed to be the "gap" between the stack and the binary. | ||||
| CVE-2016-5195 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 24 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 21 more | 2025-10-22 | 7 High |
| Race condition in mm/gup.c in the Linux kernel 2.x through 4.x before 4.8.3 allows local users to gain privileges by leveraging incorrect handling of a copy-on-write (COW) feature to write to a read-only memory mapping, as exploited in the wild in October 2016, aka "Dirty COW." | ||||
| CVE-2024-38564 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 6 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more | 2025-10-20 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Add BPF_PROG_TYPE_CGROUP_SKB attach type enforcement in BPF_LINK_CREATE bpf_prog_attach uses attach_type_to_prog_type to enforce proper attach type for BPF_PROG_TYPE_CGROUP_SKB. link_create uses bpf_prog_get and relies on bpf_prog_attach_check_attach_type to properly verify prog_type <> attach_type association. Add missing attach_type enforcement for the link_create case. Otherwise, it's currently possible to attach cgroup_skb prog types to other cgroup hooks. | ||||
| CVE-2022-49122 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 2 more | 2025-10-14 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm ioctl: prevent potential spectre v1 gadget It appears like cmd could be a Spectre v1 gadget as it's supplied by a user and used as an array index. Prevent the contents of kernel memory from being leaked to userspace via speculative execution by using array_index_nospec. | ||||
| CVE-2023-40548 | 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat | 7 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2025-10-10 | 7.4 High |
| A buffer overflow was found in Shim in the 32-bit system. The overflow happens due to an addition operation involving a user-controlled value parsed from the PE binary being used by Shim. This value is further used for memory allocation operations, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. This flaw causes memory corruption and can lead to a crash or data integrity issues during the boot phase. | ||||
| CVE-2023-4459 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 7 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2025-10-10 | 5.5 Medium |
| A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in vmxnet3_rq_cleanup in drivers/net/vmxnet3/vmxnet3_drv.c in the networking sub-component in vmxnet3 in the Linux Kernel. This issue may allow a local attacker with normal user privilege to cause a denial of service due to a missing sanity check during cleanup. | ||||
| CVE-2023-7192 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 7 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2025-10-10 | 5.5 Medium |
| A memory leak problem was found in ctnetlink_create_conntrack in net/netfilter/nf_conntrack_netlink.c in the Linux Kernel. This issue may allow a local attacker with CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges to cause a denial of service (DoS) attack due to a refcount overflow. | ||||
| CVE-2023-3972 | 1 Redhat | 23 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 20 more | 2025-10-09 | 7.8 High |
| A vulnerability was found in insights-client. This security issue occurs because of insecure file operations or unsafe handling of temporary files and directories that lead to local privilege escalation. Before the insights-client has been registered on the system by root, an unprivileged local user or attacker could create the /var/tmp/insights-client directory (owning the directory with read, write, and execute permissions) on the system. After the insights-client is registered by root, an attacker could then control the directory content that insights are using by putting malicious scripts into it and executing arbitrary code as root (trivially bypassing SELinux protections because insights processes are allowed to disable SELinux system-wide). | ||||
| CVE-2023-5557 | 2 Gnome, Redhat | 6 Tracker Miners, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more | 2025-10-09 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in the tracker-miners package. A weakness in the sandbox allows a maliciously-crafted file to execute code outside the sandbox if the tracker-extract process has first been compromised by a separate vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2023-46846 | 2 Redhat, Squid-cache | 13 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 10 more | 2025-10-09 | 9.3 Critical |
| SQUID is vulnerable to HTTP request smuggling, caused by chunked decoder lenience, allows a remote attacker to perform Request/Response smuggling past firewall and frontend security systems. | ||||
| CVE-2025-4373 | 1 Redhat | 8 Enterprise Linux, Insights Proxy, Openshift Distributed Tracing and 5 more | 2025-10-08 | 4.8 Medium |
| A flaw was found in GLib, which is vulnerable to an integer overflow in the g_string_insert_unichar() function. When the position at which to insert the character is large, the position will overflow, leading to a buffer underwrite. | ||||
| CVE-2024-11218 | 1 Redhat | 7 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Ironic and 4 more | 2025-10-08 | 8.6 High |
| A vulnerability was found in `podman build` and `buildah.` This issue occurs in a container breakout by using --jobs=2 and a race condition when building a malicious Containerfile. SELinux might mitigate it, but even with SELinux on, it still allows the enumeration of files and directories on the host. | ||||
| CVE-2022-48829 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 4 Linux Kernel, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 1 more | 2025-10-07 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Fix NFSv3 SETATTR/CREATE's handling of large file sizes iattr::ia_size is a loff_t, so these NFSv3 procedures must be careful to deal with incoming client size values that are larger than s64_max without corrupting the value. Silently capping the value results in storing a different value than the client passed in which is unexpected behavior, so remove the min_t() check in decode_sattr3(). Note that RFC 1813 permits only the WRITE procedure to return NFS3ERR_FBIG. We believe that NFSv3 reference implementations also return NFS3ERR_FBIG when ia_size is too large. | ||||
| CVE-2022-48786 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 2 more | 2025-10-03 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: remove vsock from connected table when connect is interrupted by a signal vsock_connect() expects that the socket could already be in the TCP_ESTABLISHED state when the connecting task wakes up with a signal pending. If this happens the socket will be in the connected table, and it is not removed when the socket state is reset. In this situation it's common for the process to retry connect(), and if the connection is successful the socket will be added to the connected table a second time, corrupting the list. Prevent this by calling vsock_remove_connected() if a signal is received while waiting for a connection. This is harmless if the socket is not in the connected table, and if it is in the table then removing it will prevent list corruption from a double add. Note for backporting: this patch requires d5afa82c977e ("vsock: correct removal of socket from the list"), which is in all current stable trees except 4.9.y. | ||||
| CVE-2022-48799 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 4 Linux Kernel, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 1 more | 2025-10-03 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf: Fix list corruption in perf_cgroup_switch() There's list corruption on cgrp_cpuctx_list. This happens on the following path: perf_cgroup_switch: list_for_each_entry(cgrp_cpuctx_list) cpu_ctx_sched_in ctx_sched_in ctx_pinned_sched_in merge_sched_in perf_cgroup_event_disable: remove the event from the list Use list_for_each_entry_safe() to allow removing an entry during iteration. | ||||
