CVSS v3.1 |
| OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.1.16.0, A crafted 1-bit contiguous cmyk tiff is exposed through a native uint1 imagespec, so callers allocate a bit-packed buffer. tiffinput::read_native_scanline_locked() nevertheless invokes tiffinput::bit_convert() with 8-bit output and writes one expanded byte per value into that smaller buffer, resulting in a heap out-of-bounds write and memory corruption. The affected implementation is identified by src/tiff.imageio/tiffinput.cpp, TIFFInput::bit_convert(), TIFFInput::read_native_scanline_locked(), PHOTOMETRIC_SEPARATED, 1-bit CMYK, and native uint1 ImageSpec, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. This issue is fixed in 3.1.16.0. |
| Wind River VxWorks 7 prior to 26.09, specific system call arguments can result in memory corruption within the memory management subsystem. Fixed in Version 26.09 |
| A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in rpm. Parsing a symlink entry in an untrusted RPM package whose declared RPMTAG_LONGFILESIZES value is 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF causes an integer overflow in iterReadArchiveNext() that shrinks a buffer allocation to one byte, after which the payload's independently-controlled cpio filesize field is used to write attacker-controlled data past the end of that allocation. This is reachable via rpm2cpio, rpm2archive, and rpm -qlvp on an untrusted package. |

| A flaw has been found in FastStone Image Viewer up to 8.3. The affected element is an unknown function of the component TGA Image Handler. Executing a manipulation can lead to out-of-bounds write. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| QuickJS commit 04be24600 contains a heap out-of-bounds write condition in JS_ReadFunctionTag(). |
| A potential out of bounds write vulnerability could allow a local privileged attacker to execute code in System Management Mode. |
| An out-of-bounds read in the node_token_count/relation_token_count component of FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 to v4.20.4 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. |
| GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab EE affecting all versions from 12.3 to 19.1.8, 19.2 before 19.2.6, and 19.3 before 19.3.2 under certain conditions could allow an authenticated user to achieve remote code execution by importing a specially crafted Git project export to overflow the Unicode conversion buffer used in Advanced Search indexing. |
| Ghidra versions through 12.1.4 contain a stack-based out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the decompiler's leftshift128 function when processing negative shift amounts from p-code. Attackers can craft malicious binaries with specific instruction sequences that trigger the overflow when decompiled, corrupting memory and potentially achieving code execution. |
| An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 15.8.5 and iPadOS 15.8.5, iOS 16.7.12 and iPadOS 16.7.12, iOS 18.6.2 and iPadOS 18.6.2, iPadOS 17.7.10, macOS Sequoia 15.6.1, macOS Sonoma 14.7.8, macOS Ventura 13.7.8. Processing a malicious image file may result in memory corruption. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals. |
| A vulnerability was detected in D-Link DIR-895L A1_102b07. Impacted is the function tunnel_set_params of the file tunnel.c of the component L2TP Control Channel Parser. Performing a manipulation results in out-of-bounds write. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: cfg80211: reject duplicate wiphy cipher suite entries
Duplicate entries in wiphy->cipher_suites do not describe any
additional capability, but cfg80211 currently accepts them and leaves
individual consumers to deal with them.
One such consumer is the WEXT compatibility code, which appends a WEP
key length for each WEP cipher entry it sees. Repeated WEP entries can
therefore overflow the fixed iw_range::encoding_size array returned by
SIOCGIWRANGE.
Reject duplicate cipher suite entries in wiphy_register() instead.
This keeps the cipher suite invariant in one place and makes malformed
wiphy descriptions fail early with -EINVAL, rather than relying on a
single cfg80211 user to handle duplicates correctly. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: validate and share PSP fw_pri_buf copies via psp_copy_fw
Change psp_copy_fw from void to int: return -ENODEV when drm_dev_enter
fails, and -EINVAL when the image size is zero or larger than the
1 MiB PSP private buffer.
Replace open-coded memset/memcpy into fw_pri_buf with psp_copy_fw. |
| The SOAP HTTP client guards its response buffer growth with a check that relies on signed integer overflow, which is undefined behaviour and is not guaranteed to trigger. When the check is optimised away, a malicious SOAP server can make the client allocate a buffer far smaller than the data it then writes into it, producing a heap buffer overflow. |
| An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in jslGetTokenValueAsString() in Espruino 2v29 (commit bffc6d0) allows crafted JavaScript input containing an overlong token to trigger a one-byte write beyond the JsLex.token buffer in RELEASE/NO_ASSERT builds. The out-of-bounds write corrupts the adjacent tokenValue pointer, resulting in memory corruption and potentially causing application crashes or denial of service. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: rkvdec: bound HEVC tile loops and PPS id to the array capacity
compute_tiles_uniform() and compute_tiles_non_uniform() loop over
num_tile_columns_minus1 + 1 / num_tile_rows_minus1 + 1 entries, and
assemble_hw_pps() writes one COLUMN_WIDTH / ROW_HEIGHT register per tile
and indexes priv_tbl->param_set[] by pic_parameter_set_id, all taken from
the untrusted PPS. Use the bounded v4l2_hevc_pps_num_tile_columns() /
v4l2_hevc_pps_num_tile_rows() helpers for the tile loops, and bail out of
assemble_hw_pps() before indexing priv_tbl->param_set[] with an
out-of-range pic_parameter_set_id, so the writes stay within the hardware
tables. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bnxt_en: Bound SW TPA IDs to prevent crashes
FW supports up to 1024 concurrent TPAs, so the FW TPA ID is in the range
0..1023 (see commit ec4d8e7cf024 ("bnxt_en: Add TPA ID mapping logic for
57500 chips.")). bnxt_alloc_agg_idx is intended to wrap the FW ID down to a
software ID which is used to index rxr->rx_tpa, and to generate a mapping
between FW IDs and the wrapped software ID.
On a 57608 with firmware version 233, the firmware advertises 32
concurrent TPAs. As of the commit under fixes, bp->max_tpa on this NIC
is set to 32.
If the software ID from bnxt_alloc_agg_idx is above 31, this results in
an invalid address being loaded on this line:
tpa_info = &rxr->rx_tpa[agg_id];
because rx_tpa is allocated with only bp->max_tpa (32) entries. Writes
to tpa_info later in the code are out of bounds.
This bug results in a crash at boot:

This stack trace is from a crash triggered when an out of bounds rx_tpa
is dereferenced. The invalid write mentioned above is silent in this
particular crash.
Fix this by allocating rx_tpa with bp->max_tpa rounded up to the next
power of 2 (bp->max_tpa_roundup_size) entries and masking the FW TPA ID
with that size, so the wrapped ID can never index past the end of the
array. |
