CVSS v3.1 |
| An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in the VA JPEG decoder in GStreamer's gst-plugins-bad. The JPEG parser reads a segment length value from the bitstream without validating it against available data. A remote attacker could trick a user into opening a specially crafted JPEG file, causing downstream parsing to read beyond the provided input buffer, leading to a crash or potential information disclosure. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ppp: Add bound checking for skb data on ppp_sync_txmung
Ensure we have enough data in linear buffer from skb before accessing
initial bytes. This prevents potential out-of-bounds accesses
when processing short packets.
When ppp_sync_txmung receives an incoming package with an empty
payload:
(remote) gef➤ p *(struct pppoe_hdr *) (skb->head + skb->network_header)
$18 = {
type = 0x1,
ver = 0x1,
code = 0x0,
sid = 0x2,
length = 0x0,
tag = 0xffff8880371cdb96
}
from the skb struct (trimmed)
tail = 0x16,
end = 0x140,
head = 0xffff88803346f400 "4",
data = 0xffff88803346f416 ":\377",
truesize = 0x380,
len = 0x0,
data_len = 0x0,
mac_len = 0xe,
hdr_len = 0x0,
it is not safe to access data[2].

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme-tcp: fix potential memory corruption in nvme_tcp_recv_pdu()
nvme_tcp_recv_pdu() doesn't check the validity of the header length.
When header digests are enabled, a target might send a packet with an
invalid header length (e.g. 255), causing nvme_tcp_verify_hdgst()
to access memory outside the allocated area and cause memory corruptions
by overwriting it with the calculated digest.
Fix this by rejecting packets with an unexpected header length. |
| A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux Kernel traffic control index filter (tcindex) can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The tcindex_delete function which does not properly deactivate filters in case of a perfect hashes while deleting the underlying structure which can later lead to double freeing the structure. A local attacker user can use this vulnerability to elevate its privileges to root.
We recommend upgrading past commit 8c710f75256bb3cf05ac7b1672c82b92c43f3d28 https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/ . |
| A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation.
Due to a race condition between nf_tables netlink control plane transaction and nft_set element garbage collection, it is possible to underflow the reference counter causing a use-after-free vulnerability.
We recommend upgrading past commit 3e91b0ebd994635df2346353322ac51ce84ce6d8. |
| An out-of-bounds write flaw was found in the X.Org X server and Xwayland in DRIGetBuffers/DRIGetBuffersWithFormat. A client that requests multiple DRI2BufferBackLeft attachments and one DRI2BufferFrontLeft can trigger an out-of-bounds heap write. This may be used to crash the server, or for privilege escalation if the X server runs as root. |
| A flaw was found in Pacemaker. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit an integer overflow vulnerability in the remote message decompression process. By sending a specially crafted compressed remote message before authentication, an attacker can cause memory corruption, leading to a denial of service (DoS) in the CIB remote listener. This can result in the affected service crashing. |
| A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's netfilter subsystem in net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c.
Mishandled error handling with NFT_MSG_NEWRULE makes it possible to use a dangling pointer in the same transaction causing a use-after-free vulnerability. This flaw allows a local attacker with user access to cause a privilege escalation issue.
We recommend upgrading past commit 1240eb93f0616b21c675416516ff3d74798fdc97 |
| A flaw was found in the blkgs destruction path in block/blk-cgroup.c in the Linux kernel, leading to a cgroup blkio memory leakage problem. When a cgroup is being destroyed, cgroup_rstat_flush() is only called at css_release_work_fn(), which is called when the blkcg reference count reaches 0. This circular dependency will prevent blkcg and some blkgs from being freed after they are made offline. This issue may allow an attacker with a local access to cause system instability, such as an out of memory error. |
| zlib through 1.2.12 has a heap-based buffer over-read or buffer overflow in inflate in inflate.c via a large gzip header extra field. NOTE: only applications that call inflateGetHeader are affected. Some common applications bundle the affected zlib source code but may be unable to call inflateGetHeader (e.g., see the nodejs/node reference). |
| A heap buffer overflow flaw was found in the SASL I/O layer of 389 Directory Server
(389-ds-base). After a successful SASL bind with integrity protection (SSF > 0),
an authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted oversized LDAP UNBIND packet
that is copied into a 512-byte heap receive buffer without a bounds check in
sasl_io_recv() in sasl_io.c. This allows up to approximately 2 megabytes of
attacker-controlled data to overflow the buffer, causing a denial of service (server
crash). In FreeIPA and Red Hat Identity Management deployments, any domain user with
a valid Kerberos ticket, any enrolled host, or any service account can trigger this
vulnerability over the network after authenticating via GSSAPI.
The vulnerable code path has existed since approximately 2013 (389-ds-base 1.3.2) and
was not addressed by the CVE-2025-14905 fix, which patched a separate heap overflow
in schema.c only. |
| An integer overflow flaw was found in the SASL I/O layer of 389 Directory Server (389-ds-base). In sasl_io_start_packet(), adding sizeof(uint32_t) to a crafted SASL packet length prefix of 0xFFFFFFFC causes unsigned wraparound to zero, bypassing the nsslapd-maxsasliosize limit and leading to a heap buffer overflow of up to approximately 2 megabytes of attacker-controlled data. After a successful SASL bind with integrity protection (SSF > 0), a remote attacker can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) or achieve Remote Code Execution (RCE). In FreeIPA and Red Hat Identity Management deployments, any domain user with a valid Kerberos ticket, enrolled host, or service account can trigger this vulnerability over the network. This flaw is independent of CVE-2025-14905, which patched schema.c only and did not modify sasl_io.c. |
| FreeType commit 22a0cccb4d9d002f33c1ba7a4b36812c7d4f46b5 was discovered to contain a segmentation violation via the function FT_Request_Size. |
| FreeType commit 53dfdcd8198d2b3201a23c4bad9190519ba918db was discovered to contain a segmentation violation via the function FNT_Size_Request. |
| A flaw was found in the soup_multipart_new_from_message() function of the libsoup HTTP library, which is commonly used by GNOME and other applications to handle web communications. The issue occurs when the library processes specially crafted multipart messages. Due to improper validation, an internal calculation can go wrong, leading to an integer underflow. This can cause the program to access invalid memory and crash. As a result, any application or server using libsoup could be forced to exit unexpectedly, creating a denial-of-service (DoS) risk. |
| A flaw was found in gnome-remote-desktop. Once gnome-remote-desktop listens for RDP connections, an unauthenticated attacker can exhaust system resources and repeatedly crash the process. There may be a resource leak after many attacks, which will also result in gnome-remote-desktop no longer being able to open files even after it is restarted via systemd. |
| A flaw was found in linux-pam. The module pam_namespace may use access user-controlled paths without proper protection, allowing local users to elevate their privileges to root via multiple symlink attacks and race conditions. |
| A Local Privilege Escalation (LPE) vulnerability was found in libblockdev. Generally, the "allow_active" setting in Polkit permits a physically present user to take certain actions based on the session type. Due to the way libblockdev interacts with the udisks daemon, an "allow_active" user on a system may be able escalate to full root privileges on the target host. Normally, udisks mounts user-provided filesystem images with security flags like nosuid and nodev to prevent privilege escalation. However, a local attacker can create a specially crafted XFS image containing a SUID-root shell, then trick udisks into resizing it. This mounts their malicious filesystem with root privileges, allowing them to execute their SUID-root shell and gain complete control of the system. |
| A flaw was found in the X Record extension. The RecordSanityCheckRegisterClients function does not check for an integer overflow when computing request length, which allows a client to bypass length checks. |
| A flaw was found in the cookie parsing logic of the libsoup HTTP library, used in GNOME applications and other software. The vulnerability arises when processing the expiration date of cookies, where a specially crafted value can trigger an integer overflow. This may result in undefined behavior, allowing an attacker to bypass cookie expiration logic, causing persistent or unintended cookie behavior. The issue stems from improper validation of large integer inputs during date arithmetic operations within the cookie parsing routines. |
